World Class Airline Emirates Launches Training Flight Academy

Emirates, one of the foremost airline is opening the doors of its state of the art Training Flight Academy at in Al Maktoum, Dubai on the 18th of January, 2018. Thousands of aspiring pilots from around the world have shown interest in attending the million dollars academy.

To make the application process transparent and to attract people from every part of the world, Emirate is adopting an unconventional method known as the social application. HR experts have lauded the process as being a breakthrough in the field and some have simply called it brilliant.

Interested applicants are required to download the Emirates airline app in order to register. To create an account, applicants will answer some preset basic questions by swiping right for ‘Yes’ and swiping left for ‘No’. After answering the questions, you get your emirate code which is your ID number.

Instead of writing the usual application essay, interested applicants are required to make a compelling Instagram story and don’t forget to mention @emirates. Your story should be 90 seconds long having a total of five segments. Let your personality come through in your story by making use of the following features: location, emojis, stickers, filters etc.

To accompany your Instagram story, applicants are to tweet @emirates the answers to the following questions.

• What will you do if you have a sick person on your plane?
• Will you fly a plane when there is a thunderstorm?
• Can turbulence ever bring down a plane?
• What is your favorite airplane film?

Selected applicants will be expected to attend a live interview but before you start booking a flight to Dubai, the interview will be on Facebook Live. People from across the globe will be invited to watch your scheduled interview and are encouraged to make reactions depending on if they like or hate your answer.

List of successful applicants would be posted on the Emirates app. In order to check if your name is on the list, applicants are expected to log into the app using their emirate code.

The construction of the flight school started out in March of 2014 and was completed October 2017. With the ability to train about 400 students at a time, the academy has these major components of pilot training: ground school classrooms, ground-based simulators, and recreational facilities.
